My Review of War Of The Heart
Author Jenna Victoria
War Of The Heart is a real touching story about Louise Martin as she travel to discover the truth of what happened in her family long before she was born and plans to set right the wrong that her father claimed on his death-bed never happen. I loved this book and found it really hard to stop reading once I’d started. Time rushes by when you’re stuck reading a fantastic story.
The story itself sees Louise Martin and George Walker who owns a bed and breakfast that Louise finds herself staying at. Travel through the magic of Christmas back to London, December 1940 where they have a limited time to discover the truth and mend the bridge between their families.. Will they get to the bottom of what really happened and maybe find something more along the way? You’ll have to read this book to find out.
I found that Louise was one of my favourite characters because she’d put her life on hold to take care of her father even though a part of her dream of adventure and finding a life of her own. She was a very likeable, one that was easy to relate to in some ways through out her journey.
Jenna Victoria does a fantastic job of painting a picture in the reader’s mind of what it was like in London 1940 in wartime and the emotion that time period invokes inside Louise and George. I will be looking out for more books by this author in the future.
This story is heart-warming and full of hope and a bit of festive magic with the guidance of gods strength along the way. I would recommend War of The Heart to anyone who loves a story with character to root for and some travel back in time to set right the mystery between two families. You’ll love this story.
